Alex Liftman, Global Environmental Executive, Bank of America

As Global Environmental Executive for Bank of America, Alexandra Liftman is responsible for all environmental sustainability for the company, including business activities, operational initiatives, employee programs, public and corporate policy, and philanthropic and other investments. She is the primary steward of the company’s ten-year $50 billion commitment to help address climate change and reduce demands on natural resources. Under her leadership, Bank of America has introduced significant goals to reduce the environmental impact of its operations and exceeded its first 10-year, $20 billion environmental business initiative, delivering more than $21.4 billion four years ahead of schedule.

Previously, Liftman managed communications strategy and served on the leadership teams of several of Bank of America’s lines of business, including Global Wealth & Investment Management, Small Business Banking/Business Banking, Card Services and Corporate Social Responsibility.  In this latter role, Liftman was instrumental in launching the bank’s $20 billion environmental commitment in 2007.
