This program is designed to train participants in the administration of nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia. In addition, the integration of oral sedation will be emphasized. The program involves lecture and hands-on participation. Individual experience is under faculty supervision. Participants are required to purchase "Handbook of Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen Sedation".  The entire book should be read as there is a pretest that must be completed prior to starting the course. A passing grade must be achieved on the pretest for credits to be awarded.

This course does not qualify participants for a conscious sedation permit in Florida which, by definition, includes intravenous sedation.
