Horse and Zebras: Diagnosis and Management of Oral Lesions
In the diagnostic sciences we have a saying, ‘When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras’. That is because common lesions happen commonly. Dr. Lina Mejia will present the diagnosis and management of common oral conditions, “horses” that are frequently seen in dental practices. This course will examine oral soft tissue pathology to include candidiasis, allergies, aphthous ulcerations, lichen planus and other common conditions. Extraoral and intraoral manifestations, associated syndromes and management strategies will be reviewed. The format of this presentation is case-based and will encourage audience participation.
