Mandated Reporter Training
Presented by San Diego County Welfare Services

Welcome.

Did you know you are required to report if you have knowledge of abuse or even if you suspect abuse?

As resident services coordinators we are mandated reporters. Carrying this heavy responsibility can be overwhelming and often times confusing. During this workshop you will learn more about how to recognize the signs of abuse and neglect even if you can’t physically see the abuse. We will review cultural diversity as it relates to abuse and we will discuss how to interview an adult or child you suspect is being abused.

In addition we will review the process for reporting abuse and the timeline for reporting abuse.  Following this workshop you will be fully aware of the law and fully prepared for the reporting experience.

Our presenters from San Diego County Child Welfare Services and Sharp Senior Health Center will present us with the tools we need and the information we need to completely understand mandated vs. non mandated reporting, types of abuse, signs of abuse and how to report abuse.

We hope you will join us!
