OSPE programs are designed to meet the requirements for Ohio’s continuing professional development (CPD) law and State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors (State Board of Registration) rules. For Ohio licensees, the State Board of Registration determines the acceptance of individual courses for CPD credit. The State Board of Registration does not preapprove courses or course providers. OSPE programs are also designed to comply with the law in KY, NC and WV. Be sure to consult those states’ licensing authorities. The program also meets CPD requirements in many additional states. There are 4 CPD hours associated with this program. Professionals should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the program. In compliance with the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors’ rules we must track participant attendance for this program. Be sure to participate in the attendance verification process so your attendance may be verified in case you are audited by the state. A Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate will be emailed to you shortly after the program.
Cancellation Policy & Substitutions
Registrants may withdraw from the program with full refund less a $25 processing fee provided OSPE is notified in writing at least 72 hours prior to the program's start. After that time, registrants are responsible for the full registration fee. Substitutions of attendees may be made by the April 20 deadline, although nonmember differential rates will apply if a nonmember replaces a member.

An Electric Grid Resilience Solution
The electric power grid is vital to the health, safety and economic well-being of the population it serves. The resilience of the grid to withstand and/or quickly recover from impacts due to severe weather, natural disasters, and physical and cyber threats is of great importance. This presentation will describe the purpose and characteristics of grid assurance, an electric industry-led solution that provides an inventory of scarce, critical, long-lead time equipment to utilities to enable them to rapidly restore facilities following catastrophic scale events.
Participants will learn:
