99th Maryland PTA Convention 

On behalf of the Maryland PTA Board of Directors, we would like to invite you to attend our 99th Annual Convention to be held at the Sheraton Baltimore North in Towson, Maryland on July 11-12, 2014!

This year's convention comes with much excitement as we kick off Maryland PTA's 100th Anniversary Celebration! Helping us kick off our celebration will be special keynote Debbie Phelps, Author of "A Mother for All Seasons", Mom of Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps, and Director of the Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools.Other scheduled guests joining us for this special kick off include National PTA President Otha Thornton, Maryland State Superintendent Dr. Lillian Lowery, and Maryland State Educators Association President Betty Weller.

The Maryland PTA Board of Directors has planned an exciting and rewarding experience for all delegates. Come join us as we celebrate and honor our Reflection Winners, Maryland PTA Convention Award Winners and Local Unit Membership Award Winners at our President's Award Dinner on Friday, July 11th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

Maryland PTA Board of Directors will be presenting bylaw amendments during general session which will include a very modest dues increase of .50 cents, broken into .25 cent increments over two years. Your voice is absolutely vital as we look to build on the strong history of relevant advocacy on behalf of children and continue it into our next century. Together, we are a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for parents and a strong advocate for public education.

We encourage you to send at least one or more delegates to join us at convention. This is the perfect opportunity to learn and grow as leaders in PTA. We are looking forward to seeing you at convention.
