Kindervelt is an all-volunteer citywide organization with over 900 members across Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana.  We are the largest fundraising auxiliary for Cincinnati Children's and have raised over $16 million in our 40+ year history; as always, 100% of funds raised by Kindervelt go directly to our current project.  This is the third year of our four-year commitment to the Neurodevelopmental Clinic.

Current funding project

The Heart Institute/Kindervelt Neurodevelopmental and Educational Clinic at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is a groundbreaking program serving families of children with complex heart problems, who are at a greater risk for developmental delays when compared to heart-healthy children. Identifying these issues as early as possible is key to building a solid foundation for later learning and future success. The Neurodevelopmental Clinic takes an integrated approach, involving families, clinicians, and teachers to comprehensively evaluate all aspects of a child’s developmental needs, develop a plan for addressing those needs, and providing long-term followup. This unique and exciting program is being used as a model by children’s hospitals around the globe seeking to set up similar centers.
