As the Society for Human Resource Management-Long Island Chapter (SHRM-LI) enters our 23rd year of providing HR Professionals and their industry supporters an opportunity to come together for a day at our Exhibitors’ Showcase and Workshops, our focus this year will be on demonstrating how important Human Resources is to all businesses.
U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez likes to call Human Resources Professionals "Change Professionals"! This year's Conference, INNOVATION: Creating a Culture that Values Change, will focus on many different aspects of Innovation and Change within the Human Resources field.

Everyone will then have the opportunity to choose which two Breakout Workshops they would like to attend during our Morning Workshop Sessions. "The Innovation of Talent Acquisition: If Values Matter, Shouldn't You Measure Them?" will be delivered by Don Everett, Founder, Workforce Interactive; "Build a Brandful Workforce: Putting Employees in the Driver's Seat to Drive Change" will be delivered by Julia Gometz, Founder, The Brandful Workforce; and "Disability Etiquette and Awareness" will be presented by Nadine O. Our Afternoon Legal Workshop, “Rolling with the Seas of Change: Developing HR Leadership Qualities During Times of Crisis and Turmoil” will be presented by Jackson Lewis P.C.’s Long Island Office Managing Shareholder, Christopher M. Valentino, Esq. and National EAP, Inc.'s CEO, Aoifa O'Donnell LCSW, SAP, who will discuss best practices on guiding our employers and coworkers through trying times and asserting ourselves as true leaders in the workplace.
