Keynote Topic
Creating an Inclusive Wisconsin for All

Summary & Learning Objectives
Learn how Special Olympics Wisconsin promotes inclusion in schools among students with and without intellectual disabilities through the Unified Champion School program. Shattuck Middle School and Neenah High School are two participating schools. Shattuck Middle School is a National Banner School and is only one of three schools in the state to receive this high level of recognition.
Hear how two youth leaders demonstrate the power of inclusion by supporting, believing, acknowledging, and respecting the abilities of one another. They are helping to shape a generation of inclusion.

We will discuss how creating communities of inclusion supports an organization’s triple bottom line, corporate social responsibility, and DEI efforts. Through Special Olympics Wisconsin’s 50-year history of delivering programming in sports, health, education, and leadership for individuals with intellectual disabilities, we empower all Wisconsinites to live unified.

Professional Development Presentation
Presented by BMO
Topic: Economic Outlook
Time: 2:15 - 3:15 PM

Summary & Learning Objectives
Although inflation has probably peaked after hitting 40-year highs, the path back to 2% should prove problematic owing to stubborn wage gains. Although the FOMC has begun to trim its tightening tempo, policy rates will still head higher and then remain elevated until 2% inflation is in the Fed’s sights. Under the weight of high interest rates, the U.S. economy is unlikely to skirt a recession. But it should be short and shallow, unless inflation doesn’t fall enough for Fed comfort.
