What to Expect During the First Year Transition to Private Equity Ownership

Summary & Learning Objectives
As an increasing number of family-owned and closely held businesses seek private equity partners to facilitate ownership transitions, management and employees are often uncertain as to what to expect. In this session, Jay and Damon will provide some practical guidance on what can be expected in the first year under private equity ownership along with some recent case studies. Learning objectives include: (1) how the private equity group will work with management to establish and achieve objectives; (2) different approaches to achieving equity value creation; and (3) capital structure implications.
