Professional Development Session - Part 2
Presented by Weidert Group
Topic: Changing the Marketing Spending Conversation: Selling Inbound Marketing to the CFO

Summary

The budget conversation that typically takes place annually between marketing and finance has traditionally been less than congenial. Marketing wants to spend money, finance wants to understand the expected return for the investment, and they find themselves at an impasse because of the difficulty of connecting marketing spending to specific results.
Inbound marketing offers an opportunity to change this conversation by using the power of the web and marketing automation technology to more definitively connect marketing activity (and spending!) to specific business results. This presentation will explore the ways CFOs can accept and embrace inbound marketing as an accountable investment in assets that produce results.
