Introduction to Glass Bead Making 

Learn to melt colorful rods of glass into beautiful beads with instructor Michelle Pearson.

This introduction class will cover the basics of flame worked glass bead making and give you a chance to learn techniques which you'll be able to build on to create your own bead designs.  

We'll focus on getting the glass on the mandrel into the form of a round bead in the morning and then begin adding design elements - dots, stringer, twisties & frit in the afternoon,.  Expect to make 6 - 8 beads in the six hour class.  Not all beads will survive your first class, but you'll get some you can be proud of!

Beads will anneal in the kiln overnight and be available for pick up on the day after the class.
