HARD HAT TOUR:
The Quicken Loans Arena
A rare behind-the-scenes tour of the Quicken Loans Arena (The Q) while it undergoes a massive rennovation and addition to update the 23-year old home of the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers to extend the vitality of the facility an additional 15 years. The project is a partnership between City of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County and the Cavaliers that will modernize the venue to maintain its world-class status, enhance the fan experience, and continue to provide a positive impact for the city of Cleveland.
Learning Objectives:
- Attendees will explore the under-construction Quicken Loans Arena addition and renovation, examine the exposed building systems of the massive project, structural and MEP design.
- Attendees will learn how the construction management team kept the arena operational and safe for patrons during the transformation process. The arena has been in a pardon our dust operational mode.
- Attendees will learn and understnad the future of the arena design and the experience for future patrons. The expansion will add a 42,530 square foot atrium enclosed by a glass facade, and 6,350 square feet to the arena's main concourse.
- Attendees will lean how the renovation will imporve the existing arena and extend its life to 2034.
