South Denver Native Garden Yard Tours
Embrace the botanical delight of two members' gardens as we enter the beauty of Colorado's fall season!
Join your fellow native gardeners to explore two Wild Ones Front Range members’ native gardens in Southeast Denver and Centennial, CO. Mingle with fellow native plant enthusiasts and learn from the experiences of the garden hosts as you get ideas for your own landscape.
Both garden hosts are wildly passionate about native plants, which is evident in the impressive volume and variety of species present in each of their landscapes.
The first garden is a large corner lot in Southeast Denver and showcases a wide variety of native plant species. The garden’s host is partially using her garden as a nursery to assist in restoring the Marshall Fire burn area.
The second garden is in Centennial and is a front yard converted from a full lawn to a wide variety of native and near-native plants blooming from mid-May to frost. This garden’s host demonstrates that you do not require a large amount of space to support biodiversity.
Both hosts are very knowledgeable about native plants and will give a short talk on their process, lessons learned and other advice to native plant gardeners.
