Hands-On Crevice Gardening Workshop              with Kenton Seth

 Afternoon Session Sunday, April 24 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

If you would prefer the Morning Session, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., (register here).  The morning and afternoon sessions are identical workshops.  Register only for one.

Learn how to construct a crevice garden from one of the world’s leading crevice gardeners, Kenton J. Seth. Join Kenton in this hands-on workshop to create a small crevice garden in a public park.

A form of garden design originally from Europe, Crevice gardening offers an exciting new design element for water-wise and ecologically beneficial landscaping in Colorado. Crevice gardens provide niche spaces and an ideal microclimate for certain CO native plants and local wildlife. They can be adapted to any sized space - from a container to a public park. They even can serve as an ecologically-beneficial, plantable alternative to retaining walls, and an opportunity to repurpose broken concrete, as a stone alternative, rather than send it to landfills.

Come learn the how-to of crevice gardening with a pro!

Attending the Crevice Gardens Virtual Program on April 11th, is recommended but not required.

Watching his beloved desert become drier and seeing the Colorado River in his hometown flow weaker is what ensnared Kenton Seth to a lifetime committed to sustainable garden design including creating crevice gardens. For Kenton, crevice gardens evoke the spirit of the Rockies and host plants and animals that prefer life among rocks.

Kenton's bookThe Crevice Garden: How to Make the Perfect Home for Plants from Rocky Placesis due out in August 2022.                      **************************************************************************
