A Folktales and Puppets Evening at
Tuesday March 24, 2015
Time: 6:30 pm - 8:45 pm Fee: $20.00
Puppets and Folktales are a great mix and are fun for both children and storytellers. Come to listen. Come to learn a new story or two. Come to see simple ways to include puppets in your storytelling. Leave inspired to tell stories in the oral tradition.
Carolyn has been involved in Early Childhood Education and Care for the last 31 years in child care and preschool programs; including work with children who have special needs, with preschool children and their mothers learning English, and as a Supported Child Development consultant. Early in those years her love of stories found an outlet in storytelling and a childhood passion for puppets added to the richness of stories shared with children. She has enjoyed a number of years as a volunteer and performer with the Vancouver Society of Storytelling. Carolyn tells stories from folktale traditions and from her own life.
