Holiday Season Tech-Talk 

 

  Once again HRASHI is holding their annual Tech-Talk event. This year’s event will cover several topics including Report Writing, with a focus on the report writing mistakes that can put inspectors in front of DPOR. We will cover common defects that lead to expensive insurance claims and expensive repairs for home inspection clients. For three hours the main presenter of the day will be John Cranor of Cranor Home Inspections. John is a Board Member of the Asbestos, Lead and Home Inspectors Board for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a licensed Virginia Home Inspector, ASHI ACI and well-known roofing Subject Matter Expert.

  As well as report writing issues, we have called in an insurance expert that will cover common mistakes made in the field that can lead to insurance claims against the home inspector. Understanding career ending mistakes should be among every home inspector’s concerns. Aaron Menlove of Inspector Pro Insurance is a well-known presenter at ASHI, InterNACHI and state home inspection events. He will be the primary speaker for a two-hour portion of the event and will contribute throughout the day.

  Kenny Hart is a licensed Virginia Home Inspector, Virginia Master Plumber, Gas Fitter, HVAC Technician and Retired ASHI ACI. He is the owner of KC Hart and Company, a company that focuses on educating home inspectors, real estate agents and tradesmen. Kenny’s Virginia pre-licensing classes and numerous CE classes are highly regarded by home inspectors. He will cover the plumbing/HVAC defects most overlooked by home inspectors for about one hour.

  Stan Yeskolski of Investigative Inspection Service will also speak for an hour on flashing mistakes and why these overlooked defects can lead to mold issues and other concerns for your client. Stan is an expert on mold and other environmental issues. He inspects EIFS and other special wall claddings. He is routinely hired to investigate water intrusion concerns by individuals and businesses.

Though our field of experts will speak on specific topics, they will be available throughout the day to offer opinions and answer questions.
