Mine and Metallurgy Building room 225
Who Should Attend: Plant metallurgists, circuit designers, equipment providers, process improvement and energy saving specialists.
Description: This course covers process application calculations for slurry pumps and hydrocylones to maximize grinding circuit efficiency and productivity. As described in September, 2014, Mining Engineering , “Plant Performance Improvements Using Grinding ‘Circuit Classification System Efficiency’ ”, the quantifiable benefits in terms of increased tonnage, a finer grind to improve recovery, and energy and cost reduction are often very substantial.
Instructor: Robert McIvor is Chief Metallurgist – Grinding Systems, Metcom Technologies, Inc. He has devoted his career to the design and optimization of mineral grinding circuits.
Materials: Participants will receive a guide book with slide presentations and Metcom training modules nos. 5, 7, 8, 9 and 18. Please see attached registration form. Participants should bring their laptop or tablet and a hand-held calculator.
