Course Description:
During this workshop, clinicians will gain a blueprint of how intimacy issues arise within the veteran and military population. This seminar is designed to acquaint clinicians with the assessment and treatment options available for various issues that impact intimacy. Dr. Louis will share validated interventions for improving sexual frequency and satisfaction, addressing the effects of sexual abuse, enhancing chemistry, and dealing with the use of pornography. This seminar concludes with important information about discerning when it is necessary to make medical referrals, and to whom.
Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize three of the four levels of sexual dysfunction.
2. Identify the components found in an initial sexual assessment.
3. Restate three techniques for improving intimacy.
4. Analyze and explain two-three special issues that impact intimacy (cyber sex, social media, and infidelity).
5. Determine when and how to make an external medical referral for sexual dysfunction.
Speaker Information:
Dr. Louis has over 10 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, speaker and consultant. She's the owner and CEO of Gifted Counseling, LLC; a well-known practice located in Atlanta, Georgia. Her approaches have influenced people, organizations, businesses and companies all over the world.

Evaluation and Certificate:
All attendees are required to sign-in in order to receive credits. Sign-in sheets will be available at the registration desk for up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the program, and 30 minutes after the start of the program. Attendees are expected to stay until the conclusion of the day in order to receive credits for the day.
An evaluation will be emailed to you within two business days of the program's completion. Once you complete and submit this evaluation, your certificate will automatically generate to be saved or printed.

Registration will close at the end of the day on September 13th; however, we do accept onsite registration as long as space allows.
Registration includes coffee, cold beverages and light breakfast snacks starting at 8:30am with registration. Lunch is included with registration.
If you are registering as a VA VISN 5 Employee, you will be required to show proof of current employment via government issued VA ID Badge at check in. If you do not have your badge, you will not be granted access to the program unless you pay the regular community rate.
