Ghost Walk - Friday, August 14, 2015

The Suisun City Ghost Walk is held on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. The walk is approximately two hours long. Please be comfortable, dress appropriately for weather conditions, and wear comfortable shoes. We also suggest you bring a flashlight.

Each Ghost Walk is limited to 20 guests.

Due to the serious nature and adult subject matter involved with some local history, as well as the sensitive topic of ghosts, children under the age of 14 are not permitted. Additionally, any guest under 18 must attend the tour with an adult.

The walk starts at 8 p.m. on the steps of the Lawler House, 718 Main Street, Suisun City. The cost of the Ghost Walk is $25 per person. Pre-registration and payment is required.

Registration closes at noon the day of the event if a minimum of six tours is not sold; otherwise, registration is open until 7 p.m. the day of the event.  If you've registered online, and the tour is cancelled, we will let you know via email or phone, and we can either give you a refund or transfer your payment to a future tour.

In-person tickets are available until noon the day of the event (or until 5 p.m. if the minimum of six tours is sold) at Air, Land and Sea Travel, 710 Kellogg Street, Suite A, Suisun City.

ABOUT THE TOUR

Are you curious about Suisun's earliest days, or wondered about the notorious nights of the historic Waterfront district? We’ve created a sometimes haunting, always enjoyable, interactive historical ghost walk, designed with both history buffs and paranormal enthusiasts in mind.

You get to be the ghost hunter, using provided professional equipment. Our guides will introduce you to some of Suisun' City’s landmark buildings, sites, homes and maybe even a few longtime residents! Your guides will share their historical accounts of "less commonly known" past events, urban legends of the area, and perhaps, a few haunting discoveries.

Suisun City's Ghost Walk welcomes our two new guides, Deborah Hogarty and Serena DeSoto. Deb has been investigating paranormal phenomenon for more than 10 years and is a committed and thorough investigator, applying her knowledge, skill and sensitivity in order to help folks who may be troubled by situations they believe to be paranormal.

Deb has investigated the infamous Wolfe Manor in Clovis, as well as investigations for citizens in the town of Locke, a tiny town in the Delta that has numerous reports of paranormal activity. Her dedication, sincerity and ongoing study in this field has earned her great respect amongst her peers. She has been interviewed on several radio shows, and television features, including CBS's Eye on the Bay, which focused on Deborah's investigation of the historical Ryde Hotel in Walnut Grove.

Serena has been friends with Deborah for nearly 30 years, and had Deborah investigate her older home. Following an initial interview, Deborah and her team conducted several investigations in a period of two years that yielded evidence of paranormal activity, including photographic, audio and eyewitness accounts. The audio recording ultimately provided historical information about the house and the previous families who once lived there.

These events spurred Serena to do historical research about her house and her city, and realized how vital these old stories and records are. She grew to love research of local history and believes that some history will be lost forever if there are no witnesses to share the story. Serena shares hosting duties of the Suisun Ghost Walk with Deborah, explaining the historical accuracy or importance behind the legends and paranormal stories in Suisun City. They truly are a well-balanced team.
