Mathew Duman saw no gargoyles while attending Central Connecticut State University. Yale's grotesqueries caught his attention while he worked as a photographer & graphic designer for Knights of Columbus in New Haven.
Mathew Duman"s book, The Gargoyles of Yale University is a documentary in photographs and historical notes of the fantastic creatures that are carved into walls, arches, cornices and towers of Yale University buildings.
Matt will discuss these creatures in a free public discussion at 3:00 at the Main Library in New Haven.
The 3 pm public talk is free and open to all. Reservations are not required.
After the talk Mathew will lead a private tour from approximately 4-5 pm to view selected gargoyles on the neighboring Yale campus. The tour concludes back at the library with an opportunity to talk directly with Mat at a wine and cheese reception.
Please reserve your ticket for the private tour and reception.
($15 individual/$25 family).
