The population is aging at an exponential rate never seen before because of longer lifespan and baby boomers.  When we add to this the rising numbers of adults with chronic illnesses, cancers, dementias, they point to a correlating growth in the number of family caregivers.  An accelerlated approach is needed to ensure family caregivers are educated, empowered, and supported services are available in our community!
