Meet the Instructors:

 

Christina Sanchez Miller, MPH, CEBT started her eye banking career in 1999. Christina is the founder of International Sight Restoration and the inventor of the TEN™ online database allowing worldwide members to access and accept tissue online, as well as submit recipient follow-up forms electronically. Christina is the creator of ISR's SEEson's Gift of Sight campaign that is held annually in an impoverished country giving as many as 20 to 50 corneas to indigent patients each year.

 

 

 

Sylvia Sanchez

Director of Operations Florida

Sylvia is responsible for the daily operations of the Tissue Distribution Department. Sylvia manages domestic and international tissue placement, exporting tissue, maintaining airline accounts and works closely with member eye banks. Sylvia has worked with International Sight Restoration since 2004. Sylvia manages the eye bank’s maintenance program and inventory. Sylvia has played a key role in validating shipping and packaging processes. Sylvia is fluent in Spanish.

 

David Moore, CEBT

Director of Tissue Processing

David Moore joined the ISR Eye Banks in July, 2012 as an Eye Bank Specialist. David now leads the ISR Tissue Processing Department. He has vast experience with DSAEK/DMEK preparations and has provided many surgeons around the world with precisely prepared tissue. David has participated in numerous internal research projects and continues to help with ground-breaking eye bank research.

 

Chastity Rodriguez, CTBA

Quality Assurance Director

Chastity is ISR's Director of Quality Assurance. Her responsibilities include implementation, direction, and oversight of laboratory and distribution activites. Chastity is responsible for ISR’s environmental monitoring and certifications of the ISO clean rooms. Chastity oversees all complaints and adverse reactions. Chastity joined the ISR team in 2011.
