Dear Hispanic Health Council's friend,

It is my pleasure to share with you this announcement of the Hispanic Health Council's (HHC) upcoming annual gala, scheduled for Saturday, June 10^th at The Marriott of Farmington, Connecticut.

HHC continues to increase the scope and impact of our work to improve the health and well-being of communities in our state. We are very excited in that we have recently opened an office in Bridgeport! We are looking forward to offering our culturally competent services in Bridgeport and surrounding communities. We have also been active in working with state policy leaders on developing and sustaining a model for community-based community health worker services in Connecticut. Finally, we have provided cultural competence training to new audiences, including leaders from clinical, government and community sectors.   

This year we will be recognizing Mrs. Frances Padilla, a Latina leader working to improve the health and social well-being of Latinos and other diverse communities.
