MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

The TASO Basketball Division Board of Directors invites you to attend the 2013 TASO Basketball Annual Meeting.

We are excited to be getting back to the tradition of a statewide basketball meeting.  A meeting like this fosters statewide consistency in rules interpretations, philosophies and mechanics.

TASO Basketball Annual Meeting Reminders

 The 2013 TASO Basketball Division Annual Meeting is just a little more than one week away.  Here is a reminder on the deadlines:

• Thursday, September 19^th: Last day to pay for early registration by check
• Friday, September 20^th: Last day to get the TASO discount at the Omni Colonnade
• Sunday, September 22^nd: Last day for on-line early registration and for the FREE TASO Personalized Bag Tag

On-Site registration will be available on Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and on Saturday from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM.

TASO Basketball Division Announces Guest Speaker

The Basketball Division of the Texas Association of Sports Officials has announced that John Carleton will be the guest speaker at the 2013 Annual Meeting.

The title of the keynote address will be “The Circle of Success”, where John will provide sound advice on becoming a better basketball official.

John is the founder and organizer of the United Basketball Officials Association, which is geared to provide basketball officials for large venues such as the Regional and State TAPPS tournaments, Fantasy of Lights Basketball Tournament, T CAL State Tournament and playoff Preview Tournaments.  The UBOA utilizes basketball officials from all over the Southwest.

John also founded the Great American Shootout / Great Southwest Officials Camps and has been a keynote speaker and clinician at many other clinics/camps such as the Grand Canyon Officials Clinic.

John will be a great addition to this year’s TASO Basketball Annual Meeting.

Register on-line and order your personalized TASO Bag Tag.  This "credit card" size color bag tag has the TASO logo on one side and your name and "BASKETBALL DIVISION" printed on the opposite side.  The name you specify for your name badge will be used on the bag tag.  The cost per bag tag is $5.00, plus tax.
