Processing an Archival Collection
Archival collections come in all shapes, sizes, and measures of complexity. Some arrive at your organization in good order. Most do not. Others present special conceptual and archival challenges. Join us for this hands-on workshop where DHP Regional Coordinator/Archivist Kerry Sclafani will teach you the basics of archival processing. The workshop will briefly cover appraisal, accessioning, arrangement and description and then we’ll work together to process a previously unprocessed collection.
This half-day hands- on workshop and discussion will be held at Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site in Newburgh, NY. We hope to see you there!
Because of the hands-on nature of the program, space is extremely limited for this workshop!
