Emergency Certified Substitute Teacher Renewal

Thank you for your service as a substitute for Guest Teacher/Substitute Program in IU13 and/or the school districts of Lancaster and Lebanon counties!

Your day-to-day substitute emergency permit is valid for one year, and will expire on July 31, 2016.  Your emergency permit must be renewed if you wish to continue as a substitute.  Please read these instructions carefully and complete the required items in their entirety.  IU13 will process the renewal of emergency permits in the order renewal items are received until August 15, 2016.   Completing your renewal paperwork prior to July 20th should allow ample time for your permit to be processed by the beginning of the school year.

NOTE:  Any renewal paperwork received after August 1, 2016, will require substitutes to provide updated paperwork, including clearances, physical, TB test in order to renew the emergency permit.

ALL EMERGENCY CERTIFIED SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO RENEW THEIR PERMIT FOR 2016-17 SCHOOL YEAR.
  • Complete the 2016-17 Guest Teacher/Substitute Preference Form by selecting the option below.  Please be advised that if you did not work in a district during the 2015-16 school year, you should submit new clearances, physical, and TB test to be eligible to substitute for that district during the 2016-17 school year.  Any updated paperwork should be submitted to IU13.
  • Submit your $20 Non-refundable Renewal Fee.  Payment is acceptable via credit using PayPal (PayPal account is not required to use this option) or via personal check/money order.  Please follow the instructions provided on the preference form to submit your renewal fee.  NOTE:  There is only one non-refundable renewal fee whether you renew to substitute in school district(s) and/or IU13.
