Principles of Commercial Applicators 

This refresher course for experienced applicators reviews crop protection updates, crop staging, factors affecting product performance and new equipment technology.

The MI Department of Ag has approved this course for 16 recertification credits (8 each day). See other credits below:

• OH: 8.5 credits in Core and 2 in Category 2C
• IN:10 credits in category 1, 2 in category 14, 4 in RT
• Certified Crop Adviser (CCA): 8 credits in Integrated Pest Mgmt, 4.5 in Crop Mgmt, and 1.5 in Professional Development.

Principles of Commercial Applicators a two-day training course. Session starts at 8:00 AM the first day with check-in beginning at 7:30 AM.

Agenda topics include:

• Day 1: Are you a professional?, understanding pesicide labels, advanced weed identification, factors affecting performance of post-applied, crop staging, spray table, applicator math, sprayer cleaning and tank contamination, pesticides and the environment, record keeping
• Day 2: DOT/State Patrol, equipment classroom and shop (John Deere/Case IH), equipment maintenance, controllers

Course Cost:  $495 – includes continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack daily as well as course materials. Attendees are on their own for dinner and hotel accommodations. A $200 discount per day will be applied for days not attended.
