Iowa Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference

Register for the annual ICSS fall conference!

Join us for our 2013 Conference!  The conference will take place October 7-8, 2013 at the Prairie Meadows Event and Conference Center in Altoona, Iowa.  This year our theme is “Preparing Students for Their Diverse and Changing World.”

Our keynote speakers include former Ambassador to Cambodia, Kenneth Quinn, who is now the President of the World Food Prize Foundation and Stephen Armstrong, President of the National Council for the Social Studies.

We will also be offering over 40 different sessions and workshops dedicated to the content and pedagogy of teaching social studies.

Registration includes meals and snacks on both days, ICSS membership, and access to all workshops and sessions.  In addition, the ability to network with social studies educators across Iowa and the Midwest is invaluable.  Plan to register before September 23rd to receive our early-bird registration rate.

If you are paying via Purchase Order, please choose "Check" in the payment field. POs should be sent to the same address as checks, made to ICSS.

If you are registering multiple people, register separately. You may then either choose the Check/PO option and mail with all names included or pay at door.

Questions? Contact stefanie.rosenbergwager@gmail.com or check out our website at www.iowasocialstudies.org.

NOTE: Students only receive the discounted registration, which covers the cost of meals, when their college/university professor also registers.
