Kathleen Reeder is an internationally published, award-winning wildlife photographer, instructor and author. Her works reflect her personality: passionate, energetic, adventurous and focused. Wildlife Photography Workshop 

Join professional wildlife photographer, instructor and author Kathleen Reeder, and Triple D staff and their trained wildlife on a journey back in time to the heart of Mesa Verde country.  Photograph Triple D wildlife in the landscape of dramatic canyons, archeological sites, mesas, red rock formations and natural vegetation common in the Southwest.  Located in the picturesque McElmo Canyon, 30 miles from Cortez Colorado, Triple D has scheduled a selection of premier filming locations highlighting the beauty and rich history of the area.  With expert wildlife photography instruction before and during the workshop, you will capture incredible wild animal portraits.

  • Guaranteed 8 wildlife sessions with Triple D animals
  • Optional wildlife sessions offered during the 3 days in addition to the guaranteed 8 sessions

Triple D will be transporting approximately 15 animals, consisting of 10 different species for you to photograph.  The tentative list of species includes mountain lion, grizzly bear, coyote, wolf, bobcat, badger, cross fox, red fox, raccoon and tiger.  Species may be substituted if a health problem should arise.

Workshop Highlights

  • 8 wildlife photo sessions
  • Photograph wildlife at eye level in natural settings.  The most common lens used is 70-200mm.
  • An informative online webinar that covers wildlife photography composition tips, camera settings and recommended gear in preparation for the workshop
  • Instruction, assistance and coaching throughout the workshop, specific to your individual photographic needs
  • Two evening photo critiques of photos captured before and during the workshop
  • Post processing demonstration of Photoshop Creative Cloud and Google NIK filters

  • $500 non-refundable deposit required upon registration
  • Balance due by February 9, 2016
  • Additional wildlife photo sessions will be offered during the 3-day event for $150 per session
  • Maximum of 12 participants

Additional Notes

  • Early Bird Special: Register prior to January 1, 2016 and receive a $100 discount.  This discount applies to the 3-day event and cannot be applied to the additional optional events.  The discount will be applied to the balance due
  • All deposits will be retained by Triple D
  • Deposits will be deducted from final billing
  • Triple D reserves the right to cancel the workshop and optional events, and refund deposits in full if not adequately filled
  • Participants will be required to sign Triple D's Hold Harmless Agreement
  • Non-Photographers accompanying a paying client will pay $75 per day
