Mastering the Marital Balance Sheet 

This is another training program offered in the series, "Essentials for California Divorce Mediators" that is designed to provide mediators with the skills they need to facilitate the division of the marital property in their mediated divorce cases.

New Day Divorce has designed this one day training to help your clients create their Martial Balance Sheet (MBS) and will include extensive instruction on how the MBS can be used as a tool to settle the division of the marital property.  The training will cover valuation of marital assets, tax issues that impact the "equal" division of marital property, strategies for maximizing the "marital pie", creative options for negotiating global settlements using the MBS, collaborating with financial professsionals and forecasting future financial impacts of proposed marital property divisions.

This training will provide you with the skills and competence you need to confidently mediate the division of the parties' marital estate using a comprehensive marital balance sheet. You will learn to ask the right questions, gather all the necessary information to value marital property and will include the fundamental legal rules that apply when dividing marital property in your divorce mediation cases.  The marital balance sheet is an essential tool in the divorce mediator's toolbox for empowering client decision making.
