Bow Ties & BBQ - A Special Kybele Event

Kybele warmly invites you to attend a special fundraising event at the beautiful Old Salem Visitors Center.  As part of the evening’s festivities, Kybele will proudly present a new documentary film from the Wake Forest University Documentary Film Program entitled “Frivolous Things” that features Kybele’s medical work in the neonatal intensive care unit at a leading regional hospital in Ghana. Having already premiered in Toronto, Canada, this film features Winston-Salem based medical personnel from Forsyth Medical Center, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and other North Carolina hospitals.

Following the buffet dinner and film presentation, guests can dance the night away to the delightful Americana sounds of the Red Road Healers - a local band that includes three neonatologists!

And because we are presenting the US premiere of “Frivolous Things,” Kybele wants to see your best “going to the movies” bow tie.  Men, show off your most colorful, fancy, sophisticated, ridiculous, one-of-a-kind, handmade or store-bought bow tie.  Ladies, think bows in your hair, on your wrist or ankle, around your neck or waist.  Location’s irrelevant as long as you’re showing off your tidiest tied bows!  Prizes will be awarded for the best bow ties worn.  Please join us for a fabulous evening of fun to support a great cause.

$60 per person  |  $35 for residents/students  |  $20 children

Sponsorships available.
