Some experts believe that cryptocurrency, ie bitcoin, will be a game changer for commercial real estate. Others, like Warren Buffett, are skeptical. Decide for yourself at the bi-monthly luncheon of the Silicon Valley District March 27 in San Jose.
Our speaker is Patrick Guevara, an attorney and startup cryptocurrency investor. He was co-founder of StorDio which provides a platform uniting owners of unused real estate with neighbors who need short or long term self-storage or parking. It uses the Ethereum blockchain platform to power a network utility crypto token. A closed seed round was launched in January 2018.
Prior to investing in tech startups, Guevara handled civil matters, disputes, transactions, statutory and regulatory compliance, and litigation in the areas of intellectual property, trademarks, securities, employment, and real estate law.
