Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) operates two free clinics in South Jersey to serve the needs of the uninsured and underserved. VIM, with the support of the medical community and the community at large, assists those who are making a sincere effort to help themselves and their families realize optimum health. VIM’s focus is on primary health care, emphasizing disease prevention, health promotion, and patient education in easily accessible facilities with the same dignity and confidentiality afforded in the private sector.
VIM’s Cape May County clinic has been in continuous operation for 16 years. Currently, approximately 450 people consider the Cape May County VIM clinic their primary care doctor and medical home. The Atlantic County clinic opened in March of 2017 thanks to the legacy of Frank & Eileen Nugent.
Thanks to Frank & Eileen Nugent, Atlantic County now has a free clinic to provide care for the working poor. The Nugents are shining examples of our motto: Neighbors Caring for Neighbors.
Please join us as we honor their legacy.
