Sharing Rural Housing Successes

The South Central Economic Development District invites you to participate in the first HomeNE Learning Journey!  The HomeNE Learning Journey will begin early morning on Tuesday, December 5, with a mobile classroom, arriving in Stuart, Nebraska for lunch.  In Stuart, you will explore firsthand the Rural Housing Successes in this community of 600 and connect with community leaders from Nebraska and South Dakota. The journey will continue to Central City, Nebraska for dinner at the Prairie Creek Vineyard and lodging at the Central City Rodeway Inn. 

Wednesday, December 6, the HomeNE Learning Journey will continue with a tour of the Rural Housing Successes in Central City, discovering Central City’s unique housing solutions.  Lunch at the Central City Venture Center will be followed by discussion, resource sharing and networking.  

This two day HomeNE Learning Journey will provide dynamic strategies, resources, and connections to empower housing initiatives in your community.

Costs for the HomeNE Learning Journey:

Registration      $100 (Includes meals & transportation)
