WGMSC - Uprecedented Value in Gas Industry Education

The Western Gas Measurement Short Course (WGMSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eduction of gas industry personnel in the areas of natural gas measurement, flow and pressure control.  The WGMSC in Portland, OR offeres an unprecedented value of eductional and networking opportunities: 

• 40 classes taught by industry experts on gas control and measurement topics from the basics to advanced instruction
• More than 35 hands-on classes for specific gas industry equipment instructed by authorized  factory and manufacturers representatives
• Round-table discussions on leading industry topics
• Vendors displaing the latest in natural gas industry technolgy
• Unlimited networking opportunities with natural gas utility / transmission company technicians, supervisors and engineers together with natural gas equipment manufacturers and service company representatives
• Special keynote industry speaker on Tuesday

• Students will receive electronic copies of all papers for future reference and to share with their organization.

Registration is $275 per person, $375 after April 13, 2015.

Vendor Night Event Wednesday Evening May 6th

from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm in the Marriott Main Ballroom

Wednesday evening all WGMSC participants are invited to the WGMSC "Casino Night" in the Marriott Main Ballroom.  Everyone will have the opportunity to win lots of prizes with proceeds from playing "Blackjack", "Roulette", "Texas Hold'em" and "Let it Ride".  Dealers will help teach those that don't know how to play and everyone will have a chance to win a prize.  Local Portland fare (buffet style) and beverages will be served throughout the evening.  Everyone attending the WGMSC as part of their paid registration can attend.  Also participants can take a guest with them for an additional fee of $50 dollars.  You can pay for your guest to attend along with your registration fee or you can pay at the short course when you pick up your registration packet.

 

Hands-on Seminars

Participant can sign up for specific Hands-On classes at the WGMSC registration desk Tuesday morning May 5th on a first-come / first-serve basis for the Tuesday Hands-On classes, same for Wednesday May 6th and Thursday May 7th Hands-on classes.

Registration Cost

All registration fees of $275 ($375 after April 13, 2015) per person include the following:

• Access to all classes.  Hands-on classes limited to space constraints
• Continental breakfast and lunch on Tuesday & Wednesday & Thursday
• Reception & break snacks
• Admission to Wednesday Vendor Night Event at the Portland Marriot Downtown Waterfront Hotel Main Ballroom.
• Guests of the participants are welcome to attend the Vendor Night Event at $50 per person.  Tickets can be purchased with your on-line registration or on-site at the registration desk.

Refund Policy

Please note a refund of $137.50 (50%) will be issued on $275 registration fees or $187.50 (50%) on $375 registration fees for all canceled registrations on or prior to April 20, 2015. No refund will be given on or after April 21, 2015. Refunds will be paid by check within 30 days of cancelation.
