FIRST TALK: TALKING WITH YOUR CHILD ABOUT SEXUALITY

presented by S.E.R.C.

For Parents with children under 8 years of age

In this workshop presented by the Sexual Education Resource Centre, you will gain the confidence and learn how to talk openly with your children about issues related to reproductive health, body development in children and sexuality. Parents sometimes worry that giving information to children at too young an age can be harmful. Answering a child's question with an honest answer gives the message that they can come and talk to you about sexuality issues whenever they need to. Develop the appropriate language to use to discuss topics such as where babies come from, naming body parts, and gender.

            Date:       Tuesday, February 9

Time:       6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
