According to the U.S. Department of Justice, approximately one in 12 Georgians is in prison, on probation or parole--the highest per capita in the nation by far.  

There is a strong likelihood that someone in your faith community is affected.  Is your faith community prepared to assist those affected by crime, incarceration and reintegration after prison, jail or juvenile detention?  Are you ready to help with healing and restoring the victims and offenders in your own congregations?  If we cannot help our fellow congregants who sit next to us in our sanctuaries, how can we render restorative service to those who are beyond our walls?

HEALING COMMUNITIES training can help you to restore and heal your faith community, your community or your organization -- in preparation for restoring and healing our children and families who are affected by crime and incarceration.

HEALING COMMUNITIES  offers  a  framework  for  faith  communities/ organizations  to  engage their own congregations/members in the restoration and healing of those within their walls affected by crime, incarceration and reintegration after prison, jail or juvenile detention. 

HEALING COMMUNITIES identifies eight basic components of action, each built upon existing strengths, and all performed within the existing ministry or service structure of your faith community or organization. 

This training is designed for teams of at least three to five from each faith community or organization.
