Reaching Struggling Learners

April 6, 2018

This workshop is designed to provide teachers with the knowledge and strategies to reach struggling learners in mathematics. Teachers will learn how to identify non-negotiable skills that all students must learn and how to teach these skills to mastery. Participants will learn the most consistent models for teaching key concepts and procedures across grades. This workshop will be helpful to teachers who are struggling to find the time and efficient strategies to fill in the gaps of their students with lagging skills.

While this is a stand-alone workshop, teachers interested in taking the graduate course, Diagnosis and Remediation of Learning Problems in Mathematics, would benefit from this one-day introduction.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is for Grade 1-8 Educators, Special Education Teachers, RTI Providers and Paraeducators.
