Test My Well!

We are delighted to offer residents the opportunity to test their well water* year round through a reliable state-certified laboratory to ensure that it is safe for consumption.

*Please note that results cannot be used to fulfill obligations for home sales under the NJ Private Well Testing Act. For home sale testing, a state-certified lab must be conntacted directly and they will send someone out to collect the water samples. If you need assistance locating a lab, please call our office.

To participate in this program, please follow these steps:

  1. Review the list of contaminants (on the following registration page at the link below) that your water can be screened for and determine which test(s) you'd like to order. If you need assistance, please contact the office.
  2. Complete the registration form and continue to online payment. If you do not prepay on line, you may pick up your kit and pay with a check, made payable to Raritan Headwaters for the amount you will owe for your test(s), upon sample return.
  3. You will be notified when your kit is ready for pick up. Pick up is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week at both office locations and further details will be provided with your order confirmation.
  4. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED IN YOUR KIT CAREFULLY BEFORE COLLECTING WATER SAMPLES!  This is very important for accurate test results. Videos on the collection process are available at TestMyWell.org.
  5. Return your samples to Raritan Headwaters during the times indicated on your instruction sheet. Samples are accepted only on Monday and Wednesday mornings at the Flemington office and Thursday mornings at the Bedminster office. Your water samples will be submitted promptly to our lab for testing, and you will receive an email from us within three weeks with your test results. Notification of bacteria detection will be sent within 48 hours of sample retun.
