Aims & Objectives:
Dental Radiology- The Third dimension: To understand the evolution of CBCT, it's uses, upsides and downsides. To learn how to interpret and evaluate the image set and to appreciate the medico-legal framework that lead to the latest guidelines from Public Health England on CBCT use.
Presentation of cases: Dental implant, Endodontic and Periodontic cases that have benefitted from Cone Beam CT images.
CBCT in Dento-alveolar surgery: An audit of Dento-alveolar surgery at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Trust. To understand the range of use of CBCT in various dental specialties and how this may impact treatment in both Primary and Secondary care.
DERS: To understand the evolution and current application of DERS and to consider future uses of the system both managing care pathways and planning care provision.
Sedation: To understand the current use of sedation within community dental services. To learn what are the criteria for referral of patients for sedation within the CDS. To be updated on current sedation guidelines and regulations.
