Brioche Workshop

Learn the intriguing brioche technique in this colorful workshop taught by the King of Brioche himself, Stephen West!

After declaring brioche the stitch of the year for 2015, the technique has gained massive popularity and a cult following.

This class will guide you through a two-color cast on, I-cord cast on, brioche knit/purl stitches, and directional increases and decreases.

If you have experience with brioche already, there will be some intermediate stitch patterns and colorwork techniques to explore.

Requirements: You should be familiar with basic knitting skills like cast on, bind off, knit, purl, yarn over, and decreasing.

All brioche stitches will be taught during the class.

Materials: At least 2 contrasting colors of worsted weight wool (non-superwash recommended). For example, use black and white or dark blue and bright yellow - two yarns that have high contrast. If you already have experience with brioche, you can work with finer yarns.
