Tree Farmer of the Year Tour: Hall Tree Farm

Join us for a tour of Tree Farm #344 (120 acres) set in the beautiful hills of Braintree, Vermont. Kevin and Elaine Hall own andoperate three Tree Farms in Braintree that focus on maple sugaring and timber production with a special consideration for waterquality protection, recreational opportunities, wildlife habitat and of course aesthetics.

Kevin and Elaine do almost 100% of all of the management of their three Tree Farms (321 acres) themselves, including theconstruction of their beautiful home, sugarhouse, barns, sheds and even a covered bridge over a beautiful gorge along one of themany multi-use recreational trails here. Their maple sugaring operation has evolved from an outdoor, open boiling setup withbuckets to a state of the art processing facility on an intricate vacuum pipeline sap collection system. They own a wide range offorestry and excavation equipment that they use for road construction, timber harvesting and general land management.

Don’tmiss this tour of an exceptional, hands-on, owner managed Tree Farm. Morning refreshments and lunch included withregistration. Field tours will focus on maple sugaring, invasive plant control, road/trail construction and timber harvesting.
