Spring Retreat

The theme of the weekend retreat is: "Becoming" the scripture is Psalm 139, for you are "Fearfully and wonderfully Made".  The retreat is for young adults aged 18-25.

Our goals for the weekend are the following: rest, intentional community building across ministries, intentional worship, joy filled weekend, service and hospitality.

There will be different types of worship including Supper church and some contemplative styles.

Workshops include:

• The Spiritual Practice of Baking Bread: Gluten Free and Regular Breads
• Faith and Finance
• Beauty and Body Image
• Exploring Art
• Quidditch

There will be a Talent Show, so invite folks to bring their talents and interpretive dances.  

We will be sleeping in, playing, singing, taking part in a service project and enjoying one another!

The retreat will begin at 7pm on Friday and conclude before lunch on Sunday. 

There will not be child care. Registration and coordinating support for the retreat is coming from the Office of Connectional Ministries.

Retreat Cost
Regular registration for the Spring Retreat is $90. This includes two nights of lodging, four meals (3 on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday) and snacks. Scholarships are also available (details below) to help to keep cost from being a prohibitive factor. Additional assistance may also be available from your church or campus ministry so please check with them if help is needed.

Scholarship Information
It is important to us that everyone who would like to come to the retreat is able to come. We have worked hard to plan a good retreat and we are confident that it will be a great weekend. Please register early and pay the rate you can afford so we can help as many people as possible! 

The Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry is sponsoring $25 and $50 scholarships for students at any institution of higher education who need financial assistance to attend this retreat. If your church or campus ministry is paying part or all of the remaining registration costs, please select the check option and confirm things with the person responsible there.

Partial Student Scholarship: $65 after $25 scholarship.
1/2 Student Scholarship: $45 after $45 scholarship.

Covenent & Medical/Media Release
As a participant in the Young Adult Spring Retreat I agree to accept the following guidelines as my covenant:

• Anything considered illegal under civil and criminal law in Washington state is prohibited. This includes drug use, and possession of firearms and other weapons at the camp.
• Smoking and alcohol consumption are prohited at Lazy F Camp.
• Participants will live by the simple guidelines of love and respect for the rights, feelings, and property of others (including basic needs like sleep). 

In CASE OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY, I understand that every effort will be made to notify the emergency contact person named on the form. In the event that that person cannot be reached, I give permission to the event leaders to seek emergency care for any illness or sustained injury.

With regard to my appearance at and/or in the video production during the event, I hereby consent, by registering, to and give permission for Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church (PNWUMC), to use my name, voice and likeness in its programs and activities, including the advertisement and promotion of the same. I acknowledge that the PNWUMC has full ownership rights to the photo/video production, without further authorization from me.
