Lunch and Law: Bullying
Bullying is an issue that cuts across all schools and all students, and there is an increasing societal focus on addressing it head on. Join us for this “Lunch and Law” where Children’s Law Center Staff Attorney and Equal Justice Works Fellow Thayer Hardwick and Senior Staff Attorney Joy Purcell will discuss Children’s Law Center’s efforts to address bullying in DC schools.
During this special program we will discuss what bullying is, best practices in bullying intervention, efforts schools and other community organizations are taking to address bullying, what parents and advocates can do when working with a child who is being bullied or engaging in bullying behavior, and legal and other remedies. The program will be facilitated by Guardian ad Litem Project Deputy Director Jennifer Morris.
