Grant Seeking and Grant Writing 

The Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network is pleased to join the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library to help nonprofit organizations find the grant opportunities they need to sustain their critical work. Participants will learn what funders are looking for in grant proposals and how to find applicable grants. 

In this workshop, we will review what every grant maker is looking for prior to funding a proposal. You will learn what will improve your possibility of being funded and what will reduce the possibility of funding. This is a foundational review of the basics of a successful grant proposal. 

Participants will also learn about resources available in the Foundation Center of the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library to help you more effectively find grant opportunities. Receive hands-on training in the use of the Foundation Directory Online, a custom searchable database providing in-depth information on over 92,000 grant makers.

The Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network (INRN) is a regionally-based service providing affordable, accessible, and high quality public and and private workshops. INRN staff members also provide consultation and facilitation services for all Indiana nonprofits. The Network is coordinated by the Indiana Association of United Ways and has received generous support from the Lilly Endowment since 1994. INRN works as a team with Indiana United Ways and many other nonprofit partners to meet nonprofit training and development needs and implement innovative programs.

National, regional, and specialized directories list addresses, contact names, limitations, grants previously awarded, and other information useful to grant seekers.
