Practice Transition Planning is not just for those doctors who are ready to retire.  It is a career long event! Times are changing in our profession and understanding those trends will be a key to your success, whether you are planning a short term or long term transition.

 This fast paced seminar will cover a broad range of topics, ranging from “when is your practice ready for an associate” to “when should I sell my practice.”  During this program you will learn how to create a strategic transition plan. Common Practice Valuation techniques will be presented that can help you estimate the value of your own dental practice. Effective retirement planning and tax planning are key components to a successful practice transition and several approaches will be explored.

  • Understanding various tax implications when selling a practice or selling a partnership interest

 Dr. McManus has practiced pediatric dentistry for over 25 years and is now a consultant for Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions. In addition, he serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and as the Director of Practice Management. Dr. McManus has lectured at many dental schools and national dental meetings on practice transitions.
