Northern gannet

Join NECWA for our annual spring offshore excursion!

Sunday, September 11th from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

Join the New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) for our all day marine excursion to view seabirds, whales, dolphins, seals, basking sharks, and ocean sunfish along the Massachusetts coast.

Tickets: $90 pre-registration

after September 1, ticket price increases to $100

Group registration is also available.

Enjoy our guided wildlife commentary by amazing guest naturalists. Our guest naturalists for this trip can include: David Clapp, Wayne Petersen, Jim Sweeney, Mason Weinrich, and Krill Carson.

Travel aboard the Son IV, a 100’ commercial whale-watching vessel owned and operated by Plymouth Whale Watching. Seating is limited to ensure spacious seating arrangements and rail space.

Leave from the Mayflower II State Pier at 8:30 am sharp and returns by 5:30 pm or 6 pm. We will be flexible on our return time in case sightings are better at the end of the day.

We will leave Plymouth and head across to Cape Cod, making a quick stop in Provincetown. Then we will head around the tip of the Cape passing the shores of Long Point, Wood End, and Race Point. We will head as far south as Highland Light and then turn back north and east to Stellwagen Bank.

While we are crossing Cape Cod Bay, we will offer our psasengers a free Continental Breakfast that includes muffins, bagels, donuts, and fruit. Also free for breakfast is coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. Yum!

Additional offshore activities include: plankton tow and demonstration; chumming for seabirds and NECWA's free onboard nature raffle.
