Employee orientation plays a vital role in an organization.  It helps make new employees feel welcome and to familiarize themselves with their jobs and the organization.  We are spending large amounts of money to find the "perfect" candidate - then throwing it all away by mishandling the candidate's transition into the organization. This process, now commonly called "on-boarding," is widely misunderstood and vastly underutilized.

On-boarding is the process of pointing new employees toward successful employment and giving them the guidance and information they need to become productive on the job.  This program is designed to answer questions, provide guidance and share creative ideas for welcoming new employees to your organization.

Remember, this is your meeting, so come prepared to participate to share your experiences and bring along your questions.  This is a great time to share your “learnings” with other participants!
