Colloquium on Congregational Adult Ministry
The CLH Center for Spirituality and Aging is celebrating fifteen years of providing programing and resources that support the spiritual journey of aging. Over these fifteen years hundreds have participated in workshops and seminars. Relationships have formed and blossomed and thousands of elders have been blessed as a result of the knowledge and skills gained by those participating.
The Center's programs have had two foci: 1) providing resources for congregations to support stellar ministries with and to the senior adults and 2) to equip and encourage staff at all levels and all positions in residential settings for seniors to encourage and support the spiritual journey of those the aging in their care. This event celebrates the ministry of faith communities to and with older adults.
Donald Koepke, the Center's founding director, led several churches through an intentional educational process that resulted in flourishing older adult ministries. Join Don and representatives from three congregational older adult ministries as they reflect together on the vision for older adult ministry, what has worked, what has been 
challenging and what are the challenges facing us now. We will end the day with a reflection by Nancy Gordon, the present director of the Center, on "Re-imagining Older Adult Ministry." Come for some good conversation around the challenges and blessings of congregations intentionally seeking to minister with and to the older adults in their midst.
